Fabio Salvi

Friday 3rd August | PMT Mainstage | 7.30pm – 8.30pm

Born in the beautiful seaside town of Rimini on the north east coast of Italy, Fabio’s music is influenced by his upbringing, citing his Scottish mum and Italian dad as huge influences. He says “My mum used to sing in a choir when she was young and thanks to her I was raised with the music of Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. My dad used to be a drummer and he played in all the fancy venues of Rome during the sixties. He used to listen to ELO, Ray Charles and Carlos Santana, plus some great Italian musicians of course. One day I discovered an Eric Clapton vinyl record through his collection and that became a bridge between me and blues music. I started to listen to all the great electric blues men such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Freddy King, Albert King and T Bone Walker.”
